  Godzilla was a decent film and I can appreciate what it was trying to do with the reboot of the MonsterVerse, but it had a lot of issues. For me it came down to two major issues. First and foremost, this movie is called 'Godzilla', but the M.U.T.O. Monster seemed to have far more screen time than Godzilla did. The second issue I had was related to how dark the film was. More than half of the film takes place at night and when the power is out. While the film does use the dark for some interesting shots and teases of the monsters, it also made the second half of the film very hard to follow. During the final battle, I couldn't tell who was winning and who was losing.
  
  Overall, I did enjoy the film, but I feel like it could have been much better. I give 'Godzilla' a 6 out of 10.
