  • WHAT I LIKED: Much like Tarantino's debut feature 'Reservoir Dogs,' 'Pulp Fiction' is appealing because of its unmistakeably flippant style, but what elevates this even further here is the film's snappy narrative structure, the strength of its themes, and the witty cast who all give the experience slightly more weight than you might expect. Indeed whilst Tarantino returns on cue with all his easy violence, satirical ego and dry humour, the way all of this is delivered here is exceedingly well done, and the result is something always entertaining and genuinely gripping in the moment.
WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE: Once again, it does arguably lack some potential grit thanks to its slightly throw-away attitude.
VERDICT: Another unmistakeable Tarantino movie that benefits from the snappiest stuff of his career; 'Pulp Fiction' probably represents the very best that this director can do with his hugely appealing style.
